We're sure many of you thought this day would never come -- some of the
team were starting to wonder, too -- but we're finally ready to
announce the winners of the 2006 Stargate Fan Awards!
That's right -- after compiling nearly 25 000 votes cast by over 3000
people for some 2500 nominations in a total of 201 categories -- we have
the winners as chosen by you, the fans.
Head on over to http://www.stargatefanawards/eFic/
favourite authors, artists, vidders, and sites did this year. Select "2006
Winners" in the top navigation bar.
While you're there, don't forget to take a look at the winners of this
year's Seven Chevrons and Eight Chevrons Awards, honouring the best of
the best in music videos. You'll also find the Team Choice Awards
which represent the awards' team members' favourite works, none of which
have won in any other categories.
Congratulations to all the winners! Your banners will be ready within
the week, so be sure to check back. We will also contact winners via
email to tell them when their banner becomes available.
The awards team members would like to extend a warm thank you to
everyone who participated -- nominators, nominees, and voters alike -- for so graciously dealing with our unexpected (and numerous!) delays this year
as we implemented our new system. We know it was as frustrating for
you as it was for us. We truly appreciate the words of support and
encouragement that we received along the way from you, the fans. We hope
that the new design has been worth the wait!
In the next couple of weeks, we will post our annual feedback survey on
the site and via email messages. Please complete the survey and let us
know your thoughts so we can improve the awards for next year!
Thanks for your support, and we look forward to seeing you all again
next year!

will begin accepting donations via Paypal to help defray the costs
required to run and maintain our huge database of award-winning Stargate fan works. If you have enjoyed the awards and would like to see them

accept enough donations to cover the awards site needs. Should
donations received exceed our monetary requirements, we will remove the Paypal buttons. We are a completely non-profit, volunteer-run organization.
