Final Reminder
This is a final reminder to all the nominees. Placement ends at midnight tonight so if you haven't finished putting your nominations into their cats and subcats, please do so now.

Remember to check and make sure you placed them in the lowest possible subcat, alot of people are missing these. They should look like this:

SG1 Fan Fiction
Gen
Duets
Daniel/Teal'c
Humor

SGA Multimedia
Art
Photobased
Still Icon
Character
Teyla
Scene

Also, make sure you only have one nomination per subcategory. You can't have 3 Sam/Jack Angst fics, or 2 Sheppard Wallpapers. You need to either move them to a different subcat or you need to delete them. It's one nomination per author per subcat.

And double check (especially you multimedia folks) that the URL links you are giving us are to ONLY the nominated item, no index pages are allowed (folks shouldn't have to look through 50 icons to find the one nominated).

Can you recieve emails? If so, let me know which one you want me to send the reset to you. I don't want to post your new password where everyone can see :)

Another option would be for you to tell me what you want changed/added/etc and I can do it for you.

Hi sorry, you have sent me a couple of emails, but I have been travelling around europe and have had basicly no access to the net and cant get onto my email for some reason to fix up the nominations, is there anyway you can just chose for me if its not too late, Id hate to miss out al together if i can avoid it.

No problem, it looks like you have 2 Carson Beckett vids nominated and you need to pick between the How to Save a Life and In Memory vids (hard choice, I love them both). Let me know which you prefer to keep and I'll delete the other one. That will bring you down to 10 nominations and fix you up, everything else looks fine.

I know you're currently going through and checking urls and whatnot, and am a wee bit concerned with the timing, as my host just notified me of some upcoming down time, which given my luck of late will probably correspond exactly with the moment you check my links. If a link appears to be dead, do you test it more than once before deleting the entry?

Thanks for letting us know. If it's a concern that there will be frequent down time you could give us a different link and we could update your nomination for you. If it's just going to be a weekend thing, then it's no big deal. :)

Thread Hijack (Sorry!) - Problem w/ the website

I hate to side-track this thread, but this appears to be the only way I can contact you. I noticed an issue on the website and attempted to use the 'Contact Us' form to send you an email, but for some reason it will not recoginize my gmail or hotmail accounts as valid email addresses. The exact error for both is "Your email address doesn't appear to be valid. Please check it and try again." and it will not let me send you a note or register for the site with either address, very frustrating. The issue I was originally attempting to bring to your attention is as follows:

I was looking to go back through the Stargate: Atlantis Nominees for 2006, but the link appears to be missing. From the homepage I go to Archives --> 2006, which opens in a new window. I then click the Nominees link, which brings up a page w/ Fan Fiction: SG-1 [1060], but no link or area for the SG:A Nominees. I was attempting to find a specific story I remembered from the nominees last year, I hope you can make the list available again.

Again, sorry for hijacking this thread, but I was getting quite frustrated with the inability to contact you via the site itself. Please feel free to contact me via shimmoril AT gmail DOT com.

No problem about the Hijacking, this works to post problems like that. :) I've forwarded your post to our webmistress, I know she took down some stuff a couple weeks ago to reformat and get ready for the voting phase of the awards, but I'm sure she didn't mean to cause a problem with the contact page so your post is very helpful! If she isn't able to reset up the archive super quick, if you tell me the name of the fic, I can search the backup archive and find the link for you while we fix the site. :)

Hi,
I'm so sorry to be getting off track from the purpose of this entry, but this is the only way I can contact you.
I've been trying to register for the Stargate Fan Awards for this year, because apparently once the year is over, so is your user/password.
But every time I try and register, it sends me to a blank page after I enter in the non-case sensitive letter/number thing. I also tried contacting you through the 'Contact Us' form, but it sends me to a page to login and enter the letter/number thing and then to a blank page.
I'm not sure if it's because I'm not nominated this year, that I can't participate in voting...
Well, thank you so much for your time. I understand you guys are pretty busy:)

No problem :) Yeah, we've been transfering some stuff over the last few weeks and our Contact form got lost in translation. Email web@stargatefanawards.com and our Web Tech can help you with registering, you can most definetly vote even if you weren't nominated! :)
